This course provides a comprehensive and practical review of the foundational mathematical skills essential to safe and effective pharmacy practice. Designed as a helpful refresher for pharmacy professionals and students, it covers key pharmaceutical calculations including concentrations, dilutions, alligation, density and specific gravity, electrolyte solutions (millimoles and milliequivalents), and parenteral medications, with particular relevance to both community and institutional pharmacy settings.
The course features interactive activities and knowledge checks throughout, helping learners apply concepts in real time. A supplemental workbook is also provided to support practice and deepen understanding of core topics.
As a highlight, learners will participate in an interactive escape room activity that simulates real-world scenarios and encourages collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
