Description

This short course aims to give learners a foundation for building and nurturing partnerships one conversation at a time—because partnerships are a key part of the work we all do, often predating projects themselves. While there are many definitions of partnership, here we define them as ongoing collaborations between individuals at different organizations, especially organizations from different contexts (e.g. academia, practitioner, government, industry).

You will work through this short course simultaneously with other learners, completing independent and team tasks by pacing yourselves to ensure all activities are completed by the end date. Through a blend of independent learning, interactive team activities, and team discussions, you will be invited to reflect, think critically, and collaborate, supported by a facilitator who will send reminders and can answer your questions about course administration.

Our hope, as developers, is that this experience will prepare learners to more effectively build and nurture all types of partnerships, and carry this progress forward into practice. Although focused around sustainability, the short course draws on resources from a wide set of areas and disciplines (e.g. business, education, health, and psychology).
