Course Description

This one-day program benefits leaders and other individuals who want to enhance their interpersonal communication capabilities. It begins by equipping participants with key competencies to address common workplace issues. It emphasizes the practice of effective dialogue, active listening, practical communication methods, conflict-resolution strategies, and trust-building techniques. These foundational skills pave the way for successfully handling common communication and team member performance challenges.  We will also develop strategies to maneuver particularly difficult communication scenarios and conflicts.

Learner Outcomes

By completing this program, participants will be able to:

  • Apply practical methods for navigating particularly challenging conversations and conflicts.
  • Describe how open and constructive communication contributes to daily and long-term individual and team success.
  • Apply dialogue skills and practical communication strategies to overcome common workplace communication hurdles, such as misinterpretations, conflicts, and breakdowns.
  • Listen actively and with empathy to better understand team members’ perspectives, needs, and concerns.
  • Overcome barriers and build trust through transparent communication.
  • Analyze their natural conflict-handling tendencies and identify contexts where another approach will be more productive.
