Course Description

There are four main steps to becoming a Manitoba Master Gardener though the Manitoba Master Gardener Association (MMGA).  Registration and complete of this program begins the training portion of your certification.  The steps towards certification are:

  1. Register in and complete the Gardening at USask required online basic training courses (this program, plus each individual class)
  2. Register for and complete a 40-hour volunteer practicum through the MMGA
  3. Achieve at least 70% on the final Gardening at USask basic training exam (included in this training program)
  4. Join the MMGA as a fee-paying member

This portion of the certification program will provide on-demand access to several pre-recorded classes and other supplementary education, cover all certification fees, enable course tracking, provide online study tools, and provide your online examination.

When you register for this program, your name and email address will be automatically shared with the Manitoba Master Gardener Association for certification purposes.

See  https://gardening.usask.ca/certificates--degrees/manitoba-master-gardener.php  for more details and description of the other requirements.
