Description

For students who can express basic information about themselves and ask someone for that same information (name, age, address, work, profession, nationality, etc.).
Students will master and learn to:

  • Indicate preference of locale & why
  •  Indicate the presence of a person or an object
  •  Indicate the absence of a person or an object
  •  Indicate location
  •  Indicate possession with possessive adjectives 
  •  Indicate quantity
  •  Describe a neighborhood or city
  •  Indicate & ask for preference  
  •  Indicate the leisure activities that one does
  •  Indicate the degree of liking leisure activities  
  •  Indicate one’s first impression of someone
  •  Present & describe someone

A progress report is provided at the completion of the class.

This is a non-credit course.

Prerequisites

Assessed at French Level 2 or completion of French Level 1.

To ensure this is the correct level to register, have a speaking assessment done.

Section Notes

Refund Policy:  A $75.00 withdrawal fee is charged for withdrawing from a course 2 weeks prior to the course start date. No course refund is processed after this time. Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal. 

The Arts & Sciences Languages Non-Credit Programming Unit reserves the right to cancel courses when there is insufficient enrolment, in these cases a full refund will be issued. No transfers will be allowed from one term to another term. If a class is cancelled during the term, these hours will be rescheduled and made up. However, if a student misses a class, no rescheduling or make up classes occur.
