Description

For students who can express existence, family relationships, negation, interests & possession, who can describe a person & place. Speaking in the present tense is an acquired skill.

Students will master and learn to:

  • Indicate & ask about habitual actions
  • Indicate & ask for time
  • Indicate & ask for the frequency of actions
  • Express resemblance & differences
  • Describe & ask for the description of pieces of clothing
  • Indicate & ask about the weather
  • Buy & sell a product
  • Indicate & ask about how one dresses

A progress report is provided at the completion of the class.

This is a non-credit course.

Prerequisites

Assessed at French Level 3 or completion of French Level 2.

To ensure this is the correct level to register, have a speaking assessment done.

Section Notes

Refund Policy:  A $75.00 withdrawal fee is charged for withdrawing from a course 2 weeks prior to the course start date. No course refund is processed after this time. Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal. 

The Arts & Sciences Languages Non-Credit Programming Unit reserves the right to cancel courses when there is insufficient enrolment, in these cases a full refund will be issued. No transfers will be allowed from one term to another term. If a class is cancelled during the term, these hours will be rescheduled and made up. However, if a student misses a class, no rescheduling or make up classes occur.
