Description

This micro-credential will support learners in acquiring and refining conflict engagement, conflict resolution, and communication skills to support family law and justice.  Participants will learn to identify family dynamics and relations that impact legal proceedings. They will learn to recognize their own conflict engagement styles and be able to identify these styles in others.  Learners will practice communication strategies with each other, taking part in simulated challenging conversations and receiving constructive feedback from peers.  This micro-credential will provide learners with tools and resources to facilitate the practice of family law and justice.

This micro-credential is delivered as a mix of asynchronous online learning within Canvas and weekly live synchronous sessions on Zoom.

  • Access to the course materials on the Canvas learning platform will be available several days before the first online class. Each week there will be learning materials to explore and module activities and assignments to complete within Canvas.
  • Each week there will be mandatory live Zoom sessions. These Zoom sessions are opportunities to practice and demonstrate the skills explored within the Canvas modules.

Learners will be assessed using a competency-based system. To receive the digital badge, learners will need to demonstrate competence in each of the learning outcomes.
