Description

Do you love making cyanotypes? Are your walls full of prints? Why not try printing on fabric!

In this Intermediate Cyanotype Course, students will learn how to adapt their printing technique to print cyanotype on fabric. By the end of the day, students will have printed cyanotypes on two throw cushion covers that they can take home! Use your new cyanotype skills to make holiday gifts for family and friends. The skills you will learn in this workshop can be applied to tote bags, silk scarves, wall hangings, etc!

Visit the class page at https://artsandscience.usask.ca/noncredit/communityarts/classes/adultclasses.php for the syllabus, supply list, and other information.

We will review the basic cyanotype process using dried plants and objects as our subject matter. We will learn how printing on fabric differs from printing on paper, and how to care for our fabric items. As always, the emphasis will be on sharing knowledge and having fun!

*Note: Please feel free to bring plants or objects you would like to print with! Laura will have a selection but if you have something at home that speaks to you, by all means feel free to use it in the workshop!
