ARTA 04R - Drawing & Dry Media

Description

In this course, Robin will help students invigorate their drawing practice through exposure to a wide range of drawing styles and techniques, including realist drawing, mixed-media, abstract and expressionistic drawing, and illustrative design. We will also use a variety of tools and mediums, including graphite pencil, charcoal, conte, pastel, and ink. Each week we will engage in hands-on activities and draw inspiration from contemporary artists and classical masters. Regardless of your art background, you can be assured that Robin will be highly responsive to the strengths and working methods of each student. He will lead you through projects and exercises that introduce concrete skills while fostering personal expression in a safe and empowering environment.
